There continues to be a vocal section of the AC Milan fan base who want Antonio Conte to be the next head coach, and he would be willing to alter his usual demands to join the project.

That is according to this morning’s edition of Il Giornale (via MilanNews) who make reference to the fact that there is a large portion of the Milan supporter base who believe that Conte is the right man to take over from Stefano Pioli at the end of the season.

However, at the moment the Rossoneri management do not seem interested in the idea of hiring because he does not fall within the parameters of what they are looking for, i.e. a coach good at developing young players and working within a budget.

Despite this, the paper claim that Conte is not asking for a huge salary or expensive purchases from his next clubs. These are clichés, also denied by the Conte himself who confided to a friend that he ‘needs to get excited’ by the next project he puts his name to.

In addition to Conte, another manager who could satisfy Milan fans is Roberto De Zerbi, former Milan academy player and current Brighton manager. However, he has a release clause of €15m and other clubs are taking a look at him.
